SPEAKER_12

It's Drake Day. It's Iceman.

SPEAKER_10

Iceman Day. Iceman Day Iceman Day.

SPEAKER_12

Ice, Ice, Ice. I know you was happy. Ice. I know you was happy. There's a lot to discuss. I told ya. There's a lot to discuss. We here. You know what I'm saying? We here. The energy is high. We here. Energy is high. You know what I mean? We had to set the pod off, right? We here. There's a lot of records discussed. Right. There's a lot of records discussed. Before we get to that though, I mean, what you been up to, man? Life. You know, just working realistically. You know, just trying to keep the main thing, the main thing. We it's hot out, you know what I mean? Summers is slowly transitioning. It's creeping in. It's creeping. We're not there yet, but it's a hot one in the city today, though. It's a hot one in the city. It's a hot one in the city today. Yeah, man. Long, long winter. You know what I mean? Hopefully a great summer. I was in, I was in the store um getting some groceries, you know? And uh some guy in the front of the line, I'm just like, oh, he's like, I'm new to the city. I'm like, oh, you came at the right time. He's like, nah, I came right when that winter, and that winter was cold. So it's about time we got some warm weather. He was hype. He was hype. He said, I'm like, hopefully, hopefully Philly not like this all the time. Just like, nah, it's not. Nah, I mean, it's gonna be a great impactful. Uh, you know, some like you said, he came at the right time too where it's like there's a lot of like festivals and you know, concerts, and just a lot of you know, activity going on around the Philadelphia. Yeah, I mean they had the I mean the the city was active this weekend for sure. I mean they had the like Italian market, I think it was in South Philly, like that the streets was packed. I seen some stuff on the socials. They had a bunch of like uh people are starting to do shows in the city. Right. Um what else did they have? Like a lot of the different neighborhoods and things of that nature, or they have like the little street festival, block parties, yeah. Foods out, you know, vendors out. Yeah, you know what I mean? Everybody's enjoying the warm weather for once. They're enjoying the warm weather. It's like it's like we're breaking into a new dawn, a new dare, a new era, a new way. And and and you said you said you said the boy was gonna drop during this time. I'm trying to tell you, Q2. You said when the transition was happening, the weather starts to get a little bit warmer, you was gonna drop it, and and he he he did it. Yeah. He he he dropped it. I mean, we're gonna we're gonna jump right into it. I mean Let's jump into it. How you feeling? No, no, no, no. We should start out with how you're feeling.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, I'm feeling fine. I'm feeling fine. I don't got to say.

SPEAKER_12

How are you feeling? I'm feeling good. I remember once upon a time ago, we we we was on the well not we, y'all, you and Moose were on the uh the Drake hate train. I wasn't on the hate train. Right. I wasn't hating. Right. I said the boy lost the battle. That's all I said. I said, did he though? He did, he even didn't know. Didn't I keep saying did he though? He did though, and then he acknowledged it. He said, like when it was the record, the record aspect that he lost there. That's what he said. He said he literally in the freestyle job, he said he looked in the mirror and felt like he was meek. He understood how meek felt. Okay, but did he really feel like meek though? But but I'm sorry. But did he though? What you mean? In the grand scheme of things. During that moment, he said he did. I mean, okay, I mean, did but did that really impact him? But when in the grand scheme of things, we didn't know but I mean, what do you mean? Did that little situation really impact Drake? For that moment it did. Did it impact him internally? Like him personally? Yeah, maybe, yeah, for sure. No, it did. But I'm saying for the mass majority, did it really impact anything? During that time here, yeah, bro. When that was on his run, yes, he yes. Huh? Yeah, when that was on the run, yeah, it did impact his impact his image. Did it though? It did impact his image. Nah. How didn't it? Nah. How didn't it? How did it impact his image? Bro, they what you mean? Like you you the greatest artist of all time in the hip hop world, in the pop world, whatever you want to be. Most records sold, and then you got this this this this top artist from California named Kendrick Lamar came out and spooked you back into hiding for the time. Spooked him out. Back into the hiding. He bowed out, bro. I mean, did he though? He was dropping music back to back and forth with the city. Nah, but in the last record, I like the last record. The last record, because we talked about the last record, um, was him pretty soon. He's I'm off this. Like, yeah, I'm giving you too much in marketing dollars, bro. Like I'm giving you too much, it's not, it's really not though. When you know you're fucking A-side and he's and Drake literally knows, okay, if anything, I'm the only one that's gonna lose the most, like, as far as like image-wise, like I have really nothing to gain out of this shit. Like, yeah, I'd be like, all right, fuck you, watch this. Well, I mean, no. He said, watch this, and look what he did. I mean, on uh on the aspect too, I mean, when you say he has the he has the most to lose, for sure. I mean, you sit at the top of the mountain. Yeah. You sit at the top of the mountain, and we discussed that before. You're not here to like go back and forth about the beef necessarily, but when it comes to that, I mean, I'll say, yeah, he bowed out because at the end of the day he had bigger things on his mind. Yeah, bigger fish to fry. Yeah, for sure. Like you said, like when we was outside before Pond, he wasn't really keeping, yeah, he came at Kendrick, but who was he coming at? He was coming at hove. All right then. For sure. And other hove, the labels. The big fish. Yeah, he was. Not the me. Not the fucking pawns. Yeah, but I mean, I mean, I'm I'm saying in the aspect of the public eye. You were saying the public eye. I'm like, in the in the public eye, you took the L in that battle. And it's like he moved on to the bigger, bigger, bigger machine. Okay, well, he lost a small battle, but but did that really infect the war? I'm not saying that. I'm saying, I'm saying in terms of that moment, things shifted. And he addressed that in the- Did it really? Bro, it did. It did for that moment in time, it did it, it did, it did. It didn't, because at the end of the day, ultimately, it literally still created a tension around Drake. It did, of course. All of this was focused on one person, Drake. Yeah, but I'm saying when when he lost one battle, it's like, put it like this, how do I couldn't explain it? It's like when we'll use we'll use Braun, for example, so he he always goes back and forth against Braun and uh in his record in the album. Um, like when he was down 3-1, right? Against Golden State, it's like, alright, he's losing at the time, whatever it may be. And then he comes back and wins it all. It's like, okay. You said my point. Yeah, but I'm saying it did at the at that moment in time of the battle. It's like, yeah, like what's he gonna do next? That's what everybody's waiting for. What you gonna do next? Like I came out and got smacked in your mouth. What you gonna do now? Yeah, y'all so y'all was so uh what's the word? Y'all was so at all that he got, you know, he was in a good fight, but the the thing were surprised. Why? Why are we surprised? Oh, we're gonna be. No, no, so we're no so now we're surprised that he went against another Titan. What the fuck? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're not surprised about that. I'm saying we're surprised in like the result of the situation. That's what happened. How? I mean, how did you really? You didn't you didn't you didn't expect to expect Kendrick to come out on top on the battle? Nah, I mean, I expected Kendry to put out great music. Yeah, of course that, but you didn't but that's what I'm trying to say. You didn't keep up the pace. Yeah, I expected that. You didn't expect him to knock off Drake in the battle, bro. Uh as far as like I look at it different. Okay. So I mean, like, you're out your the way you see it and the way I see it are two different ways. Not necessarily. I'm looking at it from the eyes of the masses right now when it comes to like the because we're talking about the public perception. Like, everybody's on the high, because was the last last um battle that he had, um, the last major battle that he won was against Meek, right? And everybody's like, oh, that's what we expect and how he just went, you know, you dropping hit after hit after hit. That's kind of what people were expecting in that moment in time, not for the doctor to be the one doing that. I mean, I think that's what I mean by that. I mean, I I think he still had hit after hit after hit, but I mean, like I said, that's that's that's a debate. You know what I mean? True. Like I still think he was still delivering shit at a high cliff. He was delivering it? Like, it was it was just the strategy of the city. But now, but now it was better. This right here was on some like Earl Spence Bud Crawford shit. Shit was undeniable. It is undeniable. Shit is undeniable. Iceman, Iceman is better than G and X. From from totality? I'll give it to Angi. Come on, man. Like, that's what I'm saying. It was better than G and X, bro. From Totality, I'll give it to him. From rollout to drop. Yeah, this rollout, bro. We go let's talk about the rollout before we get to the music. But like, you know what I'm saying? Like, it has nothing to do with fucking Kendrick. It was purely the boy. You see what I'm saying? Like, he didn't have to use the that's what I'm saying. The moment he drops something sexy for you, he was like, Alright, we know Drake's about to get in that mode. We needed that party and Drake collab album, that shit delivered. When he got when he got that heat check, bro, then it's like, alright, I'm about I'm really about to roll this shit out. You know what I mean? Yeah, I'm just thinking about it. I mean, the way he did roll this out was he literally had to change the frequency. He did. I mean, he put brought us into his world. Yeah, he felt he did bring us into the world, the Iceman World 100%, where it's like, I I feel like Did Iceman start when they dropped that album with him and party? Or them being Nicole with the, you know, the you know, the the Probably because if things were probably things were probably going on behind the scenes at that time. If you really look up at the cut like the cover and all that type of stuff. Like he's going to like the transition, but I also think it's a transition of him from him being looked at as like, you know, a pushover rap or whatever, maybe like into the era where it's like, bro, I'm I'm really on my Don shit now. Yeah. I'm sure you I got as much pull as all these people you look up to and all that type of thing. I think low-key about it. Yeah, and I think I think, but now I think he's about to he's not being low-key about it anymore. He's he's he's pressing that button essentially. Right, like this is me. He's teamed up with one of the one of the most dominant uh executives in the game. Larry Jackson. Yeah. Hell yeah. And it's kind of crazy you're starting to see they they're trying to put smut on his name with all these like allegations and shit like that. Now that he's starting to, you know, like I said, move the needle. He's moving the needle. And it goes back to the point I said, these these guys are really moving the needle, bro. Like, they really are showing that you don't really need the label, bro. Like, you yeah, use the label, but it's more so just to boost it. Like you're gonna, like you said, somebody asked, like, oh, did Drake get like a budget? Yeah, he probably got a budget. But it's like if he's putting his own money up through his like his marketing, his his streaming, and all that, it's like that budget money that he's getting for the album is still there. So now he can multiply that shit in whatever endeavor. Yeah, because he's to the point where he, like you said, he can put up his own bread to push his music now. He doesn't need anybody. He's pat way past that threshold. But yeah, I'm agreeing with you. Yeah, no, no, we're on the same wave. I'm saying it's just like it's really now what the label is doing, that extra money, that extra budget bag is just so he can really be on that Mike Jackson wave. Yeah, and you like you said, like 10x in it. 10x and what he would do. It was just the label giving money. Now it's like you said, it's combined essentially. It's like whoever he's signed with, whoever's invested in this product, it's almost like he's a start, he's a startup in a sense. No, he he he he he basically created his own capital to be his own bank, bro. Because it's like at the end of the day, like outside of like the audio streaming, he the label's not really recouping anything else like that that we know of. Yeah, I was I would say I agree with that too, because like you said, he's bringing his own capital, like he's a Fortune 500 type company where now people can like it's almost like people are buying it. You're buying a stock and drink. Like, say you're like a you're an investor, like you're a Larry Jackson, or you're or you're you're a big capital firm, you're buying a stock of like, alright, I'm gonna drop music and get you this much of a return. Yeah. If you really think about it, like it's a win-win across the board for everybody. Now it just it makes the label scary because it's like they're still using them, but it's like not to the magnitude like like they used to. Yeah, now he's A side for everything. Like, yeah, because I don't know why, because I was watching something to where it was like they were saying, oh, Drake doing all this and going to court, you know, you know, doing how he did his rollout for his album, is fucking it up for like up and coming artists, but it's like nah, it's really not. Yeah, I think it's putting leverage in artists' hands. But that's what I and that's when we were talking about the back to like when he was going through the thing with Kendrick, the battle of Kendrick, and I was just like, yo, if Drake has this in his pool, why don't you just do it independently? Why don't you just show? Because that that's gonna fuck up the industry. Cause like we were comparing him to Ye at the time, um, and saying like Ye just pretty much did the the F U to the industry too by doing his own shows. Um he did it a little bit Drake did it the proper way. What you mean? Like by you know, by taking him to court, you know, not even after really like saying like the you know the outlandish takes that he said, and you know, the public eye would see as cringe. Yeah. Like he did the proper, let me go juice him for their bag real quick. We all settled. Nobody really knows what that settlement was. They all settled out of court. Right. To where I mean Drake get could have retracted for a reason.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

And then it's like, okay, now I'm nobody, I mean, the the public eye doesn't know, like, is he gonna put his own money up for his own album or whatever? And now that we're seeing it, it's like, oh shit, it all really makes sense. Yeah, it it all makes sense. And then um to piggyback off what you were saying, when it comes to just like the whole Drake thing, like and the way Ye and Drake's approach were totally different. It's like they're both trying to get the same goal, like you said, just different approaches to doing it. Bro, that's what I'm saying. Like the the Malcolm and Martin type shit. Real shit, yeah, hell yeah. You know what I'm saying? You get what the analogy I have. I do, I do. Like, it's like you have one person who's basically gonna say, I'm gonna be the radical for the for the for the artist, and just show him like really, it's really fuck you, like type shit, and I can do this on my own type shit. Which did Vultures go number one? Or was Carnival went with number one, but he showed, okay, I can do it on my own, put my own money up, go number one for this long. But now you have another titan like Drake to where it's like, I'm gonna really fuck him up, to where it's like, okay, you're gonna try to fuck me like this, I'm gonna sue your ass, make you put money out, and on top of this, put my own money up on my album. And you're still paying me. And you're still paying. That's what I'm saying. You still have that budget money to where it's like he might not even spent it all.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Because he put all of his money up. Or from what it looks like, he put a majority of his money up to outside things that are not regarding to the music. 100%. I mean, well played. I'll say well played. I'll say that. That's what I'm saying. And like, as before you're like, we're gonna get into the music and the album and go through the songs and stuff like that, but this is what we this is what we said we wanted from. This is why I know you when I asked you that question, you're like, you're gonna have something for everybody. Hell yeah. And it's like, it's like now you gotta look at it like this. Okay, Kendrick, the ball is in your court. Now you're gonna follow the the the blueprint and do the same thing. And then and then if he does do that, it's gonna look corny. What's gonna look corny? Like, oh, him now he's gonna drop four albums at the one time. Oh, I don't think I don't think I don't think that's gonna be. I don't think that's gonna be. Because now you gotta upkeep with like his sales for first in the first and second week and all that shit for his you know his projects. And I think I think Drake's gonna drop more before the year ends. That's a that's an overwhelming money. Yeah, because now they like you said they're independent money, but it's all coming back to him. Hell yeah. Yo, and I'm just thinking, and I'm not to keep bringing it back on Ye and Larry Jackson was like, yo, Larry Jackson's really talking about chess, not checkers. Like that boo like the two Titans we're talking about. Shout out to that method. But that's what I'm saying. The two Titans and the in the the the one that's coming up too as well. Um and they're all pretty much in partnership with each other when it comes to like how they're distributing the records and stuff like that. It's about to be s it's the industry's really about to be flipped on his head. It it really is, bro. It's really about to be flipped on his head. It is, bro, 'cause it's like these different like ways of just promoting your music and rolling out so The artist can touch the money first. Yeah. It's genius, bro. Like I said, that's the exclusivity, is so they say, is the music video hearing the music. The music video and hearing the actual music together.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_12

You know what I mean? Before it even goes on. I mean, YouTube is a DSP. But you get what I'm saying? Like Spotify and Apple Music. Right. Like, before you can actually download it and save it, type shit. Like Drake's basically saying, watch my movie first. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, that's the the most that's the most genius rollout you can think of. Go live. I'm gonna I'm gonna show everybody from start to finish. Basically, it probably was all three albums going from start. You know what I'm saying? Show the story. You see what I'm saying? The whole story, bro. So how did like the the the rollout, bro, was the cinematography on it, like the storyline, the plot, how they sequenced the how they sequenced the songs. I mean, and just him using like the live stream aspect of how we how we said like that's the new wave of how content is is being consumed. And it also showed his numbers, like you said, about who's how many people are watching at once while I'm live.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

So the time spent on the on platform, yeah, bro. That's because everybody else there has watched the whole thing. Start and there's probably just kept increasing, bro. Like, you get what I'm saying? He made a bag off that shit. He made a bag off that, but now he's gonna get other bags that are coming in. Bro, he made a bag off that shit. No, I know, I know. That million dollars, bro. Like, he probab you I'm not gonna say you might have two, three X that shit. Yeah, two X just from the stream, and then now when he goes to different, say he wants to go to like get an ad spot somewhere for a few years. Yeah, bro. Oh, yeah. Look how many people watch my stuff for this amount of time, whatever. He's gonna get whatever whatever he wants. Bro, that's what I'm that's what I'm saying, bro. To where it's like Wow.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, bro. That's poetic, bro. It is. It's poetic. Cause it's like motherfuckers really think you really need that label, bro. Like, that's why I was already like I was like, yo, he's really in a position to where he does, he has the capital to to do what he wants. Yeah, cuz it's I'm I'm thinking, I'm saying wow, because like when we're talking about the two different approaches between Ye and Drake, it's like remember when Ye bought that like that ad spot on the Super Bowl, just him saying go to Kanye West.com like that's pretty that was almost like a few to the people, too. It's like like I have my own bread to do it. I don't need you to do this. I don't need you. I don't need also Mike Jack shit, bro. Like, and it's like that's why they were Ye put his money up to to do that ad space. Now they're gonna just give Drake that ad space. Just give it to him. Like, this was literally a test like for for artists in general. Okay, like if Drake could do it, y'all all could do it on a on a small scale, high scale, medium scale. But it's possible. Like, it's possible, bro. Like, you can put your own shit up, like fully, and then just let the labels just spring. They're supposed to be the Instagram boost. Yeah, that's really it. Yeah, that's really it. Yeah, it's supposed to be organic, supposed to be tangible to where it's like, okay, you know, I I actually put that art together, and that's my piece of work versus them putting some microwave shit and trying to just put it in front of the, you know, as far as the placements and shit like that. Like, it's supposed to be like this. Like, yeah, you don't want it no other way.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Like wrong. You're not wrong. Everybody felt organically attached to this shit. I agree 100% when it comes to that. Um But yeah, so May 15th came around. Well, actually, nah, before we got to before we get to before we get to Friday. Right. You know what I'm saying? It was it was the it was the it was what the eve of the it was the eve of the album. Right. Um, and you know, leading up to the leading up to the project, Drake's been dropping a bunch of like symbolism on his Instagram, like coded language. Um, and then he said he's dropping episode four on a live stream at what was like 9 45 Eastern time, I think it dropped. You know what I'm saying? Everybody's wondering what the live stream was gonna be. Right. Um, we didn't know if it was just gonna be him playing the album, it was him gonna be dropping the film. Because the word word on the street was that he he flew a bunch of people out. It was in the CN Tower. Um they had live streamers there, they had um some of the biggest names like DJ Academics was there, all that type of thing. What do you think about him using at top? Bro, I think that's that that shit, bro. It's you can tell Drake literally appreciates film and production. Like, by putting what's putting cameo features of people in uh in like his you know, short film. Cause who was who's the comedian boy? It was um you know I'm talking about yeah, I forget his name. That was riding the car with Adonis in them when they stole the cop car. Yeah, uh Shane Um Shane Gillis? Yeah, Shane Gillis. That's his name. Yeah, like, you know, shit like that. There's probably other cameos that we did that we That shit was funny. But it's just like shit, like he you could tell he really took his time, like crafting this shit. You know what I'm saying? Showing these artists. Yeah, showing these artists. Also, like, you know. Oh shit. Like, you I think that mask with the long nose is supposed to symbolize some shit. It probably is. I gotta say I want to rewatch it again. Like, apparently it looked like one of those long the Chinese masks, you know I'm talking about with the red long nose, but it's supposed to represent like like a European person, yeah, so to speak. But I I don't know if that ties into that. Because like, you know, they're wearing a mask for a reason, but the mask is is is that mask for a reason, is what I'm trying to get at. But I don't know what I was trying to say. Nah, but like there was a lot of similarities, like, and then when it came to when it came to um like you said, him having different cameos. Oh yeah, academics. But nah, yeah, all ultimately it's just like you can tell like he had nuance to this shit. Yeah, like I'm saying, and I'm also saying like him just using AC as like the voice to kind of like push it out. You feel me? Push push um like he that's the platform he decided to use to to to get it to the masters. He kind of did the same thing, the same thing with uh for all for all the dogs, had like Snoop Dogg. Yeah. Oh, this is this is roof radio. Yeah, he's gonna raise a roof. Yeah, yeah, I mean, but like he's good at shit like that. You know what I mean? Having like common voices on his records or visuals. What what would you um what would what would you rate that film? The whole thing? Yeah, like I mean, because it took you through different That's how like nine and a half or ten. I like I liked that rollout a lot. I like like I liked the I liked how each song was a different story. It was not like he took us through a story, but like each thing was his own pocket. Right. Like, and it was it was um and then together it took it it gave us the message of what he was really trying to do. Yeah. Or what like you said, the story of like, is Drake really gonna is he really gonna produce the way we want him to produce? He's addressing, he's addressing all the all the channel that people were saying on the net, all that type of stuff. I mean let's get into the project, bro. I mean, you're sitting there after you watch the stream and and and and 12 o'clock hit Did you jump straight to the Iceman one? Did you jump straight to the See didn't work like that? It didn't work like that, because like I didn't I was like I was literally like felt drunk, but I wasn't drunk. I'm saying I was sleepy, and then I'm like, it's it's 11 cuts off for like around like the the stream cuts off like around 1145, right? Yeah, yeah. Like I'm like, what the fuck? I thought it was gonna be more. No, I'm saying like I'm like, what the f I'm like, hold on, because I accidentally fast forwarded it, like, or rewinded it because I wanted to hear a bar, then it played and it's it's unavailable. I said, we'll try to refresh it. I'm like, yo, what's up? Like shit broke. You know anyway, but so then I'm like, alright, so I guess Drake's on some bullshit or my phone's on some bullshit. So 12 o'clock comes around, I'm like, alright, it's up. That shit's not up yet. Yeah, yeah. But like then they say, oh, he froze the internet. But like, you know how it is, you know how it goes on like DSPs. Once you drop it all at once, bro, like it's not gonna drop all at the same time. Because that's the has to upload every song and everything. So it dropped at like 12.05, like 12.03, 1205, give or take. You see Maid of Honor. That was the first one that dropped. Yeah, it was my ability. Yeah, it was Maid of Honor, Habita, Habibti. Oh my god, Habibti, my bad. Habibti and uh Ice. So I mean you had to go in that order. Yeah. So so you listened to Iceman last, or just like you just or you just waiting for it. You had to. Nah, I mean, what I what I did was I started playing, and then when I saw Iceman drop, then I ran to Iceman. Nah, I mean, but you kind of had to because it had to upload. Yeah, I'm saying I started listening to him to that. So I saw that that Iceman was dropped, and then I was like, all right, I'm gonna come listen to the full project as I listen to Iceman. I listened to every every other one. Iceman was last for me. Nah, I listened to Iceman first, I ain't gonna lie. Nah, you gotta save the best for last. Like he wanted he wanted you to hear that he wanted that build up. True. Damn, like this is Drake shit. Oh shit. Okay, I see what he's going with. Wait, the next one, how be okay, yeah. You got Pardio, you got Lil Shimony. Oh shit, Iceman's really that shit. Like, this is an instant classic, bro. Bro, so this is an instant classic. What? Bro, come on now. You can we can put the put that on the air, bro. Let's just give the mark, bro. You know this is an instant classic. This we're gonna go to the project. This is an instant classic. Yeah, I'm just saying, like, you're asking me how I felt when I when I got to that shit. And when I look it that shit was like, I was like, yo, the boy's back. You said he delivered. You said this is everything you wanted. Uh uh, bro. You saw me in the chat. Like, I was ready to talk my shit. Yeah, you were. You were. You start you started popping off. You start going crazy. What do you mean? Started going crazy. Y'all can't tell me shit no more. Bro, he delivered. I give him that. I know you can. Y'all mean he was ready for this moment, huh? Pull my bars up. Y'all try to call me crazy. Nah. Y'all try to. Y'all try to put that on my jacket. Nah. I told you, but let's let's continue. Yeah, so so you winding up getting the Iceman. I'm listening to Iceman too. And then, you know, Drake, Drake, I went to go see how long how many songs was on it to see if it was a double disc. At first, right in the chat, I thought there was like different graphics that came out before Job saying like there's gonna be like 30 songs or whatever. So I didn't know if he was having like a double disc, like 1515. But Iceman was 18 records. Right. 18 records. Nice spot. Yeah, definitely, definitely. A good amount of records. Not the the project's not too long, not too short. Right. Um, so I'm thinking about like what's his intro gonna be because you know Drake's known for his intros. And so I press play on uh make them cry.

SPEAKER_04

This is what it sounds like Ice.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah. I'm an only child, no one could have made another. I have to father my mother and treat my son's grandfather like my older brother. The skies are gray in Toronto, they not a golden color. I'm feeling like BTS, cause it took the whole career for me to be so discovered. I know for sure that my parents, they look at me and see an overcomer. I'm looking back at them, and these days I see an older couple. I see my only uncle looking like that shit that I ain't owning up to. And if he said that we felt, I probably see a side because I'm old enough too. I'm looking at all my niggas, they say, Bro, we love you. But all my words really the shit that they be going up to. Feel like 40 won't even listen to my words when he knows I'm in a load of trouble. I'm in the cut, just loadin' rebuttals. Then I got a bunch of hits on my hands, see the swollen knuckles.

SPEAKER_12

I try to tell him it's that hurt that hurt his feelings, bro. I'm trying to tell you, bro. But he's reflecting. He's reflecting on he's reflecting on the battle that just happened, bro. Everything that happens. He said I got sworn knuckles, he fucked him up. Nah, bro. I think he's I think him up. I think it I think he's even saying like he's he said like four. He said he said 40, 40's not listening to nothing he's saying right now. He's like, you need to show me essentially, bro. Nah, show me like show me, show him who you really are. Yeah, I you just say all they say is you guys dig deeper. I know being nonchalant with it. I know. Which is cool. That's why he said I'm fucking off this shit. I don't think he said I'm off. I'm not, I don't think, I don't think I don't think they're telling him to dig deeper on some nonchalant shit. I think No, they're telling him to dig deeper, like you said, show them what what you really are bullshitting right now. That's why he said he's off this shit. But I'm saying don't make it about dot, make it about you. Yeah, but I'm saying that's what he did. Yeah, but he over there probably moping around, bro. He's not moping around. He just he just going through his motion. I don't think he's just going through the motion. Everything that was that was being said about him really bothered him. Really bothered him. I mean, yeah, niggas responding his boys, bro. But that's what I'm saying. Okay, but he's not gonna make it about fucking dot. He's gonna put it in his art. I get that. I get the point about that. That's not the point that I'm making. It is the point, though. No, the point that I'm making is that it's just like, yo, you can put out better shit than this. You're not gonna do that. But I'm not gonna put out better shit through dot. We're not gonna make this about dot. We're gonna make this about me. So that's why I'm gonna put this party and Drake shit, get people off that shit, then I'm gonna drop this shit. Now everybody's gonna literally tune in on what I have to say. Right, right, right. We're not gonna make this a dot Drake thing. We're gonna make this just a Drake thing. And that's what he did. Yeah, I mean that's why it's Iceman, nigga. I mean he's he Yeah, for sure. And I mean we're gonna play some, we'll continue to play this record because like you know, 40 come to bro, you need to really need flex on him. And he need to flex on the thing. You need to flex on him. Like you, like I said, you you bullshit. I flexed he flexed on for him and for his camp. For his camp for him. Not for dot. I'm not saying for dot, but they're saying like you should have been showing these people who the fuck you. But he probably was like, for what? Because you got a challenge, you gotta contend, you gotta early. I'm already him. You gotta be him. So now why not be the Terrence Crawford and see? Now I did it. Boom, now what? Okay, the record continues. Is there more? Where did Drake, bro? Is there more? We're gonna get to it. That's what I'm saying. What more do y'all want from this man? Like, he this shit is crazy. I don't even know what to say. I don't even know what to say.

SPEAKER_09

God damn. They know you thorough with bread, but there's some shit you gotta pony up to. Basically he's saying I got grown up to do it, I gotta dig deep. I really hate those two words, they never bring peace. I'm at the Bulgaria in Turkey with my bitch, and we ain't come here for no big teeth. Nah, I came here to turn a new leaf and maybe finally get some sleep. But all I can think about is the mountain of climb and the conversation surrounding my music like this twin peep. What died back in 2024 was a big piece. So it's like the shit is me, but it isn't me. Y'all keep on asking me what it did to me. That's what it did to me. When I dig deep, they say dig deeper. Tell us how it felt to meet the Grim Reaper. This album better has some big features. Well, sorry to birth your book.

SPEAKER_12

That's what I'm saying. He was reflect, bro. That shit bothered that nigga, bro. We should've had some big features, but you don't need the feature. No, but I'm saying, like, they're told. Okay. I'm not even talking about that part. I'm talking about niggas asking, yo, how'd it feel to meet the Grim Reaper? How the feel to fall from grace in that moment in time, bro. They saying that was a Grim Reaper as in the dot. I'm just saying the Grim Reaper saying like you're facing death, like they're saying you're pretty much facing, in my opinion, this is how I took it. You're facing death in your career, like this is a blemish on your career, like that type of vibe. He's thinking about that. That's what I'm trying to say. That's what the people are saying. Yeah, but I know, but I'm saying, like, that's just him saying, no, I hear what y'all saying. Yeah, but I'm really like, I think that bothered. I think that bothered him. But did he really face the Grim Reaper though? Bro, that moment, yes, yeah, people calling you a pedophile on the biggest stage, bro. I get it. But I'm saying, yeah, that bothered him. I'm not disagreeing, saying it didn't bother him, but I'm saying at the same token, it's just like he's taking that in and he responded to it. Respect. Of course he's responding. We know the project. I'm just saying, like, like uh when it when it came when it came when it came when it comes to just like people saying, Oh, oh, he's saying I'm off this, I'm off that's like, bro, nah, I don't think he was just like, I'm off this. You I think he really took it. I don't think he was off. I mean, he has to respond, he didn't really respond to it. He like I said, he dropped the party shit and let that let people let that shit die to soak that shit all up in to when he dropped, he was able to respond in the proper fashion. True. His hands are swollen, my nigga. Yeah, because he just got out the fight. You had to fight his bro, his, his, his, he soaked up bros. Braun switched up on him. Yeah, Braun did switch up on him. On some weird nigga shit. Yeah. So I mean, how you feel, how'd you feel about make them cry as an intro? That was a hell of an intro. I think it was a hell of an intro, too. It's up there as far as uh top Drake intros. Yeah. So, so that's at the tone for the project, right? Yeah. I mean, obviously we both made it through. I mean, what were you some of your standout records um from from the project, right? Yeah. You got I fuck I fuck with Lil Birdie. Yeah. I fuck with um Ran to Atlanta. Right. I fuck with Did you think Future Delivered? Yeah. I no see see for this type of song, bro. You think he was needed? Yeah. Future is like was a great like to set the tone. You know what I mean? And also, like, you say, yo, these niggas still, he's the head of Atlanta still rock with me. Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying. So, so back to what I was saying was I feel like Future was needed for that song because it was a great rollout to introduce Molly Santana.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

You get what I'm saying? Like, they were just complimenting her, Drake and Future. To really they're both, I mean, they're both great ARs for this one.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

You know what I mean? Like, they you had Drake as like the high like octave, and future as like the like, you know, the like the middle lower octave. He had her right in the middle to really like so she could really pop off and do her shit.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_12

You know what I mean? And that's why he said I ran to, I mean, in my eyes, POV, ran to Atlanta. Like, I'm still linked up with Future. And we put it on probably an artist that probably went to Atlanta to get put put on. Yeah, I mean, I took it as that too. I took it as that too. That's why I said like when it came to the future aspect. People look stupid, bro. What do you think people look stupid? I mean, this does people look at future a certain way now, too. It's like you standing with us and now you standing with him, or is he just? He fucked with metro. He don't fuck with dot. He fucked with metro. It wasn't a dot record, it was a metro record. I know that, but I'm just saying in terms of like he was one of the people that was going to be. I get that. Period. I know he fucks with Metro. I'm just I'm just saying, like, from the from what the people are saying, is like they had a conversation. Apparently 21 and uh big uh big boy got him right. Or big boy got him right, okay? And 21 fuck with who? Fuck some drink? And who? And who? Who? Metro! So you know what I mean? It's like it's one big family, if you really think about it. Like you really think about that shit though. Like you think 21 is gonna st it seems like from from outside looking in and we don't really know these niggas. It seems like obviously 21 and well Metro and 21, they came up to get, well, Metro put on 21 in a way, by doing a lot of his music and projects and sounds, to where it's like obviously 21 has some sort of loyalty to Metro, and like 21 clearly fucks with Drake too. Well yeah, for sure. So it's like that's gonna look weird on all everybody's and if it's like, oh, one person's beefing with the other, so let's figure it out. Right. So So we got make them cry, and then we we go into dust as the second record. Um I'm gonna play a little bit of it. Let's get our thoughts on it.

SPEAKER_09

You should go ahead and pop some corn and grab a stove. The boy's about to break some news. About to make me reach everybody. It was like, go below the dictator. Go blow the dicks on your plants. What was the yeah that they say ass slaps? Cause I don't remember it going like that. I don't remember one word in your raps. I don't know nothing about you in them tracks. Yeah. Are you cool by that B switch?

SPEAKER_12

That's what's hard. I liked it too. I liked it too. Yeah. He he went he went from his RB bag to fucking rapping. Yeah, no, I I enjoy I mean, I fucked with this uh, you know, his transitional switching during the middle of the records and you know, stuff like that. Yeah, did you did you did you like that as a song number two? Like the placement of it? I mean, I didn't mind it. Like, I I mean I know a lot of people they like dust, but like No, a lot of people do like dust. There's a lot of people that like dust. I mean, I think I like I don't know if I would put a second, I bought I probably would have put right into whisper my name. But there's a reason why there's a gap. True. Probably you're right. Um but you said you said your standout records were um Whisper My Name, Janice ran to Atlanta. Well you say shebang and uh I didn't say shebang. Oh, I thought you said shebang. I think shebang's gonna be. I think she like shebang too, but like it wasn't I ain't gonna say it was my favorite. I was like I said, I said Whisper My Name, I said Burning Bridges. I said uh I fuck with Firm Friends, I fuck with um Well, we already played Randy, or we didn't play Wise. I already said Randy Wellana. Uh what else did I say? Um for the radio, make 'em remember. Yeah, there's not uh that's that's a that's a majority. That's a lot of project. Okay, okay. I mean, I didn't have any like when I listened to it, when I listened to it through the first time, it wasn't a record that I skipped on it. Nah, I just should start to finish if you ask me. Yeah. Uh oh, B's on the table, I fuck with that too. I ain't gonna see her in cap. Like, it definitely has a good bop to it. Uh yeah, yeah, yeah, man. Plot twist.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Because plot twist was released as a single, wasn't it before? Like way Nah, I don't think so. I thought it was, bro. I remember the video of him standing with all the guns in front of the lake. That joint wasn't it the Plot Twist record? Nah, I mean it was part of the stream. I don't know if it was part of the record, but I don't think Plot Twist was dropped yet. A lot of the songs weren't really dropped besides uh what did I miss? Yeah, I thought it was a leak or something like that. I thought plot twist was a leak before. Um might have been, but I could be I could be tripping. I could be tripping. But yeah. But I mean, my my top ones from the s from the from the project were um Whisper My Name, Um Janet Shut the Fuck Up, Shabang, Um, Little Birdie. I like the intro, make them cry. Brendan Bridges, I think that's gonna be going all summer too. And 2R for the radio. I thought that was I thought it was a real good record. 2H for the Radio. Play that disc, man. Which one you want me to play? 2R for the radio? Yeah. Shit, it's for this for Dot fans. Yeah. It's gonna be a Bob All Summer too. It's gonna be a Bob all summer too.

SPEAKER_09

Hey, hey, uh, yeah, hey, uh, all right. Look, listen up, it's about to be slow. Ain't nothing but some shit I wrote. About a rich ass nigga that's keeping the game. They call me Drizzy Jake, and I'm keeping it name. It's what I keep shoes. I got a mic to use to talk bad about your bitches. I don't like you fool. Got a Oakland shit for the night, baby. My young boy's running y'all like crazy. I'm on a bridge with a tick on the lid. I pull up early to that bitch, that bitch with yeah, get up ready. I stay in the city and I really got the rank. You see the backpack, to the fake. I really for the full of it. New times on the full of it. Tryna get a pig, yeah. Yeah, and I put it on stickers and a boulevard. I took it apart. Be the call of a spot. My new girl girl gotta look apart. Hey, it's Mr. Make a pipe down there, go. Yeah, it's Mr. Pop Slot, it's a wake go. Now too hard for the fucking radio.

SPEAKER_12

Too hard for the fucking radio. Yeah, that's a record. That's going too hard. There's gonna be. Did Drake go A minor when he said that? Too hard for the radio. You think he did? Hell yeah. Just to just throw shot. Um, I think there's about five or six records that's gonna be playing like religiously. Religiously on the scene. Did it again, bro? Like, I don't know what else to tell people. Like people who are gonna try to be dot stands, just gonna go, oh bro, it wasn't all that good. And you just know you're just stupid and not musically inclined, and you just don't like good music, and you're just a fucking hater. Is this the is this the best approach that Drake could have had when it when it came to silence and the noise? Yes, and 100%, because it's like he showed true artistry visually, musically, and just symbolically. You know what I mean? Like he really put the industry on ice. Yeah, like he put all these Titans that try to take him out, try to put disc records and do all this shit. Like you said, you had a lot of motherfuckers who try to like drop shit to see if shit would just stick, and it was all revolving. His their ecosystem was around one man. Yeah, and then he literally said freeze everybody by dropping three projects, bro. Oh shit, he dropped three of them holding. He did freeze time because everybody's listening to his shit. Shit, free fro everybody. Where's that shit at? It still didn't drop. Yeah, 12 o'clock came. He said 12 o'clock. People were getting mad, bro. They said he had 30 or 40 30 of the top 40 spots on Apple Music. He's about he's gonna do a million first week. He did a million first day. Okay, I think it's man, I think it's I think it's I think his manager's manager like put up a screenshot. I don't know if it's real or not, but apparently put his manager on the screenshot. It was like over like 1. something million people listening right now. Like right now, you know I can show it on the Spotify, like what's listening right now. He broke the net, bro. Yeah, what more can he do? What more can he do? This is what I'm saying. Like that, you see why I'm getting so. He answered the noise though. This is all we ever asked for from him. But do we even want more from this nigga? Nah, but I mean, right now, but you can't ask for the shit is crazy. But but right now, you see how broken you but you actually see how the world is though, like it's crazy as fuck. It's like you got greatness right in fuck in front of you, and you still are not happy, bro. And he dropped some shit again to where it's like you guys are right back to just at fucking all. Yeah, like that's wild. He froze, yeah, he didn't. That shit is wild, bro. That's why he gave us 30. But it's wild, bro. Cause it's like, damn, like, like he had to remind everybody. But did he though? He did, bro. Did he though? Bro, you know how people, you you know how everybody has recency bias, bro. The last thing on their mind when it came to the last thing that came lost on their mind when it came to Drake was the Kendrick shit, bro. That's all people were talking about. That's all people were talking about. Damn, bro. But if you could ask for a response, he gave you this, he gave us everybody the response that the only way you really can respond. I mean, yeah, he made it undeniable. He made it undeniable. It's just, no, I'm just looking at it from like that perspective. It's like, damn, like I'm giving everybody everything that they fucking want, and you still aren't happy, bro. Like, that's crazy, bro. But like you said, this is what you signed up for, and that's why it's like that's what I not saying the artistry aspect, but I'm saying like doing shit at a high level to where it's like they're still asking for more, and I'm still dominating. And it's like motherfuckers will never be happy, yeah. They won't. It's like that that's the most vulnerable part for him. Like, it's like you guys will never be fucking happy, and it's just like I'm giving you timeless shit. Yeah, like and it's like how long will this take until it's like, oh, Drake needs to put out a fucking other one? Like, bitch, we should be able to sit on this for the next three years, yeah. Four years at that, yeah. Like, he shouldn't have to drop for the next four years. He should have to drop, he could just go away. If he really wanted to. That's a great story, but that's great being and putting that shit on ice, like the album. He only drop if he wants to. If he wants to, bro. Like, I mean, oh to the glove, too, on the on the cover, album cover. That's what I'm saying, bro. Like, if it is Mike Jack error? Huh? Is it his Mike Jack error? We thought fucking if you really do E for reading this too late and shit like that was his Mike Jack era. From that from nothing was the same to like Scorpio. But I'm talking about in terms of like the global scale of like, you know, the same trajectory of like when they were probably put those charges on on Drake. I mean, I'm on Michael during that time. Like when this nigga was reiterated by Sony. But it's not yeah, he's in that type time. That's what I'm saying. He's in that era, he's in that era. He's in the era, he's trying to stomp on shit now. Yeah, and everybody, the the labels and stuff of the business are doing everything to stop him. Like, he's over here, like, but yeah, you're right. You're ex Like I said, he's literally on a type time of I'm really booted up and I'm fighting y'all. Yeah, he into that Prince Jack era where he's trying to. Yeah, that's a fact. Like, but it's like, but no, but if you really think about it, like, who is who is that person next to Prince and next to Michael saying, I'm pushing that way with y'all? Now that we really see a person like Larry Jackson standing next to the Kanye's, the Drakes, and shit like that, you more motherfucker, you really starting to see like a real force, like an Avenger board, but right there. Yeah. To where it's like, now is this shit gonna be truly led by artists? That's the thing. Like, everybody really thinks these people are really fighting each other, but like, are they slowly coming together? And you have that executive guy that's knows how to politic with the different, you know, labels like UMG or Apple or whatever, to where it's like yeah, are they really fighting with each other? Are they really on some I'll say like WWE? That's what I'm saying. So really we're moving the needle of the market, bro, by saying, like, if I amplify you and you amplify me, and we're able to get like higher budgets and buyouts and shit like that to really just do our own shit and make the labels really work for us. Right, is that the best bet? Like, you get what I'm saying? No, I get what you're saying. I'm just I'm just not just I'm gonna be able to do that. It's really purely genius, bro. Like, okay, this is how we run the play. Like, we're gonna we're gonna create a beef or we're gonna do whatever to amplify each other's like streaming by just getting viewers, not by bots, but by viewers, by just okay, fuck him, fuck you. We're dropping high heat shit. Yeah. Now, okay, Drake, drop a ro drop an album that has nothing to do with this shit. To be like, oh, why is everybody questioning this shit? Because at first, as for you, it was like people were like, It's hard. Uh they didn't know if they should jump on it or not. Yeah, but people then people's like, oh shit, this shit is lit. Yo, Drake ain't lose shit. I remember I remember you were saying, Oh, that's your hard. You were saying that because I remember I remember when it first dropped, I was one of the people that I was just like, yo, there's a records on here that like, but I I can't, I maybe I'm about to come back, either come back to it later, it's gonna be a certain frequency then later did. And it's like you were like, Yeah, I told you. Like he's he's that type of nigga that's he's a slow burning ass nigga, bro. Pause. Like, you know what I mean? Like, and that's why I'm saying, like, he could rest now, bro. Like, you know what I mean? He like I'm happy, bro. Yeah, like the fact that he was able to like put me at all type shit to where it's like, damn, bro, you still had another trick in your bag, bro. Yeah, that's pure artistry, bro. Like, you can't even, you can't even like you just gotta smile at that shit. How do you feel? What's your what's your thoughts about like him obviously like dressing addressing like LeBron, DJ Cal, it all then? Cause like you remember do you remember um when DJ Cal was about to drop that album and he was walking out that sign, like Drake got me? If I drop if uh I like what Drake like or some shit like that, or nah he has I got two songs with Drake about to drop my new album, and them shits never drop. Right. Really they never drop because like all that shit was transpiring, Khaled ain't really step out for Drake, and then you like obviously you see Bron at the at the at the pop-out party dancing, all this type of shit. Um do you think that type of stuff could ever be mended? Nah, bro, that's some weird ass shit. And I and I get that too, because it's like because I was watching the Joe shit, and he was saying just you know something about like I feel you, Drake, but it's like why do you you can't even like really get mad because like people like that, they're just there because you're a hot commodity. But like, but yeah, but from the Drake perspective, he probably really thought No, no, I'm I'm saying, like, I'm no I'm saying I'm with Drake. I'm saying, like, that's some weird nigga shit. If I'm a type of nigga, like I'm going about shit on some like trying to be genuine and like, yeah, of course, you know, networking and building a little business relationship, and potentially it could be like more of like a personal relationship, like you know, friends, family, and shit like that. But it's like to Joe's point, it's like he does have a valid point, like, this is the spaces that you're in, and a lot of these motherfuckers, they're here because what you're doing, not because of you as a person, yeah. But like me, me as chase and how I'm fucking seeing it, like I'm with I'm with the boy, bro. Like that shit's some weird nigga shit, bro. Like, bandwagon, yeah, bro, because this shit's hot and you in LA, you just trying to be because you're in part of that atmosphere, yeah. Oh, LA, that's some you a weird ass nigga, bro. I'm not even a braun fan, bro. But when he was when he was reflecting, he even says, like, you pretty much was saying, I shouldn't have been surprised because you switched from team to team, like your career type. I've been yeah, anybody who really a Braun fan, you're a bandwagon, bro. You'll switch, you're any, you're liable to switch up at any point. He said, If you're a Braun fan, yeah. It's chips for him, huh? It's chips, bro. Like he's never been my favorite. He's never been my favorite player? Nah. All right then. Ivor Glaze Braun? Huh? Ivor Glaze Braun? Nah, I'm not. I respect him as a yeah, he gets champed, but he's not like he's a he's a he's a he's he's corny. Um when it comes when it comes to that, um yeah, he uh what was about to say? I mean he addressed that head on, like he addressed like digitality, addressed there's a lot of stuff. Acept Rocky, um, in the in the what record was it that he addressed? Bernie Bridges record.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

That drone's hard. That drone's hard. I'll play a little bit of it. Where she at?

SPEAKER_05

Burning bridges, say the laws.

SPEAKER_09

I swear I could cry when I see a face. I wait too in the door, just to let you walk away.

SPEAKER_06

I know it's okay to start a family in LA. They love me too much. I can't ever be okay. I just can't move away.

SPEAKER_09

I can't leave my brothers in a chair. Just gotta lead away. I cannot be okay. Just even a thought to turn my back on them is not okay. I cannot be okay.

SPEAKER_12

Switch up the strings.

SPEAKER_09

I promise things would be okay. But they love me too much, yeah. I cannot Yeah, yeah. I push you niggas to the ring. Yeah, you get body by a single nigga. I'm with nowhere like I'm Chris Kringle. Yo, baby mama ain't even postin' single damn. Where she a baby mama ain't even postin's single. I'm off a quail, make my body sing. Look in the mirror, see what's up and get you should be swimming with the fuzzy fishes. But I still got a free missus and assistin. So I take care, but we can't bring a bridge. You saw my brother, you was tryna fix it. Now you try to listen. Yeah, we cheap babies, we getting the musicians. My niggas didn't have a pocket piston. Now they try to toss so much, they gotta drop a dish. Cabo got so many watches in my pocket, nigga. Cabo got so many watches in these supervision. Why you walking around the flags like you're superstitious? Yeah, yeah. I push you niggas through the wrinkles. Yeah, you get embodied by the stink, nigga. Yeah. I'm with nowhere like I'm Chris Kringle. Yeah. Yo baby mama ain't even supposed to single. Damn. Where she at? Yeah, where she at? Yo, baby mama ain't even posted single. Oh my god, bro.

SPEAKER_08

I'm quail, make my that's one of those moments.

SPEAKER_12

That's one of those moments. That's one of those moments. Your baby mama ain't gonna give it to the boy single. You just gotta give it to the boy. I'm with Noel, yeah. I'm like, I'm Chris Kringle. What can't what can ASAP say to that? Nothing. Bro, uh hey, bro, like, the boy, I just wanted to let you know, like, hey, I try to tell these niggas, man. Like, you got these people over in Philly just saying, oh, you done, this, that, and the third. I try to tell him, like, just be patient. Chill, chill, chill. Let the let this man have his little moment, this, that, and the third. Let let Drake give him some highlights by let Kendrick use referring his name to shit. Like, it's cool, bruh. We here. It's summertime. You said time will tell. Time will tell. When the smoke clears, we're gonna see who's releasing. The summer belongs to the boy. You tell me. What do you think, dot fan? I was with Jake Call on the Jones, so it's worse. Okay, what do you think, Cole fan? I mean, right now, yeah? Summer to something right now at this point in time. What about the fall off? You said he stopped playing that shit, huh? You said what? Huh? No, I'm still playing the fall off. Um, but what's about to say? It's the summer bops though. There's a lot of summer bobs on it. Shout out to Cole. This shit was a hell of a hell of a hell of a pride. Hell of a pride. Put that bitch on ice. Put that shit on. Everybody else's record on ice, huh? Fuck what he's talking about. Yes, sir. He gave that. He gave Cole his moment. He gave you a couple months. If that's he said he gave you a little vlogs. If that we're gonna do that. You let you touch the people. He said, go ahead, touch the people. Touch you, yeah. You can use that. I'm about to touch the frequency. Test the soul. Right. Bro, no, but the thing is, see, Cole touched the people, right? It goes back to the point we used to talk about forever ago. This nigga Drake is so tangible, but he's intangible, my nigga. He made it feel that we can actually touch, touch this nigga and actually you see what he's what's going on through the broadcast. That's crazy. He made that fucking live stream look like a fucking film. It did. It did 100%. You get what I'm saying? Yeah, you can't knock that. Like, is that a live stream, my nigga? I mean, it was a live broadcast in terms of like you, it's like you're almost watching like the last dance dropped, or like uh, or like uh a new movie dropped, like you feel me? Like it's the next this the next chapter in the city. But see the masses or don't think of it like that though. No, no, no. But it's crazy. I'm agreeing with you because it's like a combination. It's like, is it a live stream or you're watching reality? You watching, you feel me? But you're watching a film. That it could be is real, that is his reality. It's the next episode of Drake. Really shit. It's the next episode of Drake. It's the next episode of Drake. Like, it's the ice, it's the Iceman chapter. Iceman for the chapter. It's really the Iceman chapter. Like, I don't know else to put it. And and before we transition off of this, like, that's why Whisper My Name, I think, is one of them records. Because it's like, and I'm gonna play a little bit of it, but that's that's him coming back in that billionaire where he's really showing people. Dark Lane demo tapes era. He's showing people, it's like, yo, I've been a down behind scenes. Scorpion era. I'm showing everybody. I gotta remind everybody. I pretty much gotta remind everybody because y'all think I'm on this this soft guy shit, like you can just play with my name in a type of way. Right. And then and then he drops in my bad. Ah, damn. Now you good. No, I was gonna say, uh, and it's kind of tough, like that one picture of like him and his boys from 09 to 2026. It's damn near the same ones. Yeah, same ones. And then remember, they were just in merch now, they're all suits and ties, like, like they bosses now. All of them. Oh, Don Data shit. Yeah, straight up. Yeah. But what's my name? This is what's my name. Whoever made this beat, the production on this project was crazy. From from start to finish.

unknown

Hey.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah. Ash the ash is dust to dust. The dustiest niggas been fucking with us. Am I a goat? Well, probably not. I probably was, but you probably forgot. My white label had to go, white label shit. When he stepped out his body and finally got hot. Hand me the tubes like I'm picking a lot. Me and white bitches been kissin' a lot. My honor comes from the shit that I do for the ones that I love. It's between them and I. Your honor comes to the court and he offers a pleading so that you could cut off some time. Nowadays, y'all don't won't put in no work. Y'all just won't jump to the front of the line. Hurry and run out the time. Baby boy, please. I heard what you said, the little girl about me. Yeah, and when you run into the ice, man, what you gon' do is that freeze. You're not by the squeeze, you not in the streets. I'm cutting niggas off at the knees. They ain't no standing on business with me. If I'm lying, I'm flying economy. Give me a motherfucker seat. If I'm lying, I'm flying economy.

SPEAKER_12

How do you think how do you think he feels when when he has to come across like these people to talking all these messages like a seat? I drop, I drop this project in cause of wait. Everybody's listening. Everybody. He's you know how he's just he's just like, yo, I heard I heard what you said, but now you gotta you still gotta shake, you gotta now you gotta check in with somebody. Yeah, you gotta you gotta check in with somebody even speaking to me. Like, like, like he did what he means by you gotta whisper a name, like meaning like, yo, like this.

unknown

Like the order, like, oh shit, what are you supposed to do?

SPEAKER_12

Like that that's the what you gotta drink. Like, that's literally what they're doing, bro. Like, yeah, it's crazy because it's like it's that awkward phrase like you can't really. You gotta go through him. He's the gate now. He's the gate. Yeah, and then also, and then also on the flip side, like you said, is he really like oh you can't you can't even oh this is hard. You can't even say that in public. Right, you gotta tell like it's the denial. It's not like, oh, eh, this is 50-50. Uh, this mix, you can you can you you can say that take proudly, and people be like, okay, I agree. Now if you're saying that, it's you're damn near hating, bro.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Like, I was arguing with a nigga, and they know who it that is. Oh, how you say it's it's a classic, bro. You sometimes, some things you hear that shit, and you say, This shit is just fire. This you know this shit's gonna be a classic. Like, if you're reading this too late, you knew that shit was gonna be classic. Nothing was the same, you knew that shit was gonna be a classic. Especially if you read this too late. When I joined dropped the surprise album, everybody's like, I remember that moment. I remember that moment. There's some there's some projects where you know where it's like, this is gonna be a classic. This is a classic project. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. I'm like, you heard this shit start to finish. It's like, nah, after you, after you got, well, yeah, after you got through it, you kind of sit there like you took a deep breath, and it was like, yeah, he actually might, this might, this is on the trajectory. And even when we're watching, even when you're watching the like the roller aspect from the night before, it's like, oh, this is what this nigga's on.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

And then the music, like you said, then you listen to the project. Then you watch, no, well, fuck the project. Oh, the before the project, then you see the broad the broadcast. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah. That man's like, yeah, I don't know. I think this man might be on some like this might be one of them ones, bro. Like, because the bar set so high. Yeah. Like coming into this year, the bar sets so high, like music watch, to where it's like, you can't, you literally can't, literally, and metaphorically, can't be the fall off. Yeah, you have to continue to keep that. Like, listen, so basically, Drake's here, everybody kind of like moved up with dropping the music like right here. Now you gotta put that bitch right back up again.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

It's all just like changed the height of the mountain. Which undeniably people respect him for that. Yeah, but I think he's like any doubts that people had during that battle are gone. Drake came into that battle as the heel. Like, you know what I'm saying? As like you said, the village. But when you're when you're at the when you're at the mountaintop, there's only one way you can really go. Nah, like if you're the mountain and everybody's like if you're at the mountain like someone's like coming the only way you can really like is if someone knocks you off that's good you can go you can go up yeah but bro you're still gonna be at the center because higher you go I get that but I'm saying like yes and what you're saying yes you can go up but I'm saying though like if anyone's trying to knock you knock you off the only way if you like the only way you can really go is down is what I'm saying when it comes to like that's what people thought happened. Because we weren't but he wasn't pleasing people apparently a lot of people during the time like you said at the beginning of the pod it's like bro we we didn't we didn't appreciate the greatness that we had right in front of us that gave him boost to keep going up I don't think he went down I'm not I'm not saying he went down but I'm saying in the people eyes of the people if you weren't if you aren't continuing to produce at like this level like you do. But we're winning so for so long there's no other choice but for you to find a reason to hate somebody yeah that's what that's what I'm talking about. I think it's just more so just people learn to not like you. Well it's like it's like in the Batman when they when they said when they said yo you either die hero or you live a long enough to see yourself turn a villain bro real shit and I guess it maybe it's not turning down but it's like people gonna flip on you. Fuck yeah bro fuck yeah bro like but this this right here this whole situation right here made him the villain but it it it grew it made the masses love him again. Yeah on some bane shit yeah because like you said it it don't wrap the segment up but it's like yeah like this because the reason that people still love him is because like bro this is what they were people been asking remember him for they remember him for he's like they rem they remember this drink how you how you responded to when people thought you got knocked on the canvas broo he got knocked on he got knocked in broke jaw broke hit fight wasn't over he got back up and knocked it was no there was no 10 count right there was no 10 count he came back dot didn't finish his job and now it's like didn't finish the job he didn't cut the head off the snake he just stepped on it yeah that's a good that's a good analogy that's a good metaphor right there I mean I'm interested to hear what the people think I mean I think I know what the people think but at the end of the day I rate this project I I this is one of them projects bro this gives me like this gives me the same feeling when he dropped Scorpion what's the rating on the project I'll give this project a nine nine out of ten so you're really you're ri you're being you're just being you're really calling in a 10 I get it I'm it's first it's the first few days I'll get it you calling a 10 you know what I'm saying you call in a 10 I feel this is a very very good project this is a high level project this is a high quality project there's a lot of playback there's a lot of playback the boy did the job yeah and you know I'm saying and like even with the other albums there's records on it that's like that go like the the the the classic record that R and B record yeah that's yeah that the boy's versatile yeah the boy's versatile hey man you know you know I'm a I'm a sixer you say you're what I'm a sixer you say you gotta make another trip up there huh hey man hey man I hey man I'm just I'm just glad every like people are coming to the light hey man so I'm up for the first we're gonna jump to the face of the future song of the day now um presented by MBT Media listen to some Apple Spotify YouTube telefriend to telephone about today's episode um make sure you subscribe to that Patreon you know the links the future song today comes from Drake's album titled Habibti um this is RB record called classic once again this is Drake classic on time I'm I just want to let me let me know I let me just I let me know I just did all the first time this is your first time you want baby your first time this is your first time baby your first time oh my god is that the faces of the future once again that was Drake classic Drake classic that record's hard bro yeah it was nice little smooth little bot little RB little Drake that's a tough RB record definitely rock I like that joint a lot you know I mean I like that joint a lot for sure um what was with the other projects before we jump into the to the last topic we want to talk about uh I like eight I like made Vana for sure definitely grew up me more I think that was like a good like eight like eight off for off the first listen um I think that's a project that's gonna be more so like say for really like June July August that's for the summer vibes that's some that's for that's World Cup vibes right right exactly and I think that um habibti Habibti Habibti Habibti Habibti say it one time Habibti my love for the means okay I know that was just tell you just think boy just think he that huh oh shit damn what he say then they call him the king of Persia the King of Persia but um that popcorn record on on ones amazing shape that'd the amazing shape yeah but nah like the both both other two projects definitely did it did what it needed to do to complement the main thing which was ice yeah yeah and he fulfilled his album I mean he fulfilled his deal exactly fulfilled his deal the boy's free um but yeah I mean you got anything else on the project nah like I said Drake you delivered my boy like I said I don't gotta I can go on for hours but you you you you did your deliverable yeah I know I know you me and and Dex were smiling ear to ear nah y'all slept good at night I smell I mean yeah I was happy I was happy that he dropped I know I just proved like I said everything that he did I like I said I try to give y'all some ism um the last topic I'm gonna talk about is kind of it was a little viral moment um that happened uh it happened this well this past week uh probably right before um the Drake album dropped um Trudge the Builder um it's he's a new live streamer that's going around calling um black people the n-word um saying he's for free speech chimping out and then when they go crazy he's like they're chimping out and they try to attack him like macism bear maces him shoots him um and yeah he threatens to shoot people all that type of stuff um but recently uh he wanted to go into jail bro because his gun went off in a public setting um a guy one he got in a tussle with um some guy he was um chiming out with talking back and forth with and shot him out with um I think in his bomb was set up like one what was like 1.5 mil or something like that good to let him out so what do you think about live streamers like shut the builder doing things of that nature you think he should be allowed to say whatever he wants to say you say whatever speed you want say whatever you want because shit like that happens yeah now you got a fucking heavy ass case for attempted murder and you're probably gonna sit down and do some fucking time yeah because you wanted to be a class crown. Yeah like that's that that's what you get you thought you thought you you thought you using the law for you thought he knew the law thought it actually got worked against you yeah and now you need to suffer everything that you asked for like now that these people actually kept composed and didn't really crash out and put their lives at risk by falling into his bait by the him trolling and him try those people trying to like fight him and do whatever and put themselves in harm's way karma's a bitch. Yeah karma's definitely a bitch and then also like at that point yeah you can have your freedom of speech but I ain't gonna feel bad for you if something bad happened to you. Yeah I ain't gonna feel bad if like you might come across the wrong or the right motherfucker that's gonna they might pull their shit out on like pull pull their weapon out on you lucky pop you I'm surprised I'm surprised that like it hasn't happened yet but they say he does like in public spaces where he knows a lot of police and all that type of stuff but that don't mean shit I know it doesn't but I'm just saying police come after oh yeah for sure but I'm saying I'm just saying in general like he he he's walking around saying like oh I have a I'll shoot your face off all spray like he's just lucky yeah he's getting now you're gonna go sit down get to sit down but I'm saying he's lucky he ain't come across somebody that might actually really no I'm saying but shit he don't he gonna be on the inside unless he's gonna be in PC nah he probably not gonna be in PC if he's gonna be in GP so they might he's a regular he's a regular ass bull no I mean I'm just I'm just I'm just saying if he's in GP I mean unless he goes with the Aryan Brotherhood you gotta have to find somebody to shack up with somebody is just somebody to protect him. You gotta think about it once you're on the internet people know your face your face especially when you're doing wild shit like that like you're going against a whole multiple cultures bro not just black people but you know it could be a Mexican it could be anybody that he tries to like degrade for God knows what reason. I don't know why he does it but it's just like you think that shit's cool until you said you meet your maker whether it be a bullet in your head or you get locked down for a hundred years. Yeah so I don't get it the internet got people being bold that's cool let them let them let them all be bold brought let them be bold it like I said it's it's weeding out the fucking fake shit bro like let these people do this dumb shit live stream get caught up get locked up it just moves them out the way for true true art bro I'm happy I like I said I'm I'm I'm not I'm not I'm not opposed for a little bit of chaos right you know what I'm saying right as long as you know the real still comes to the top fuck it yeah you're not wrong about that I mean people think they really move them out the way and people really crashing out on the line like I'm not talking about the people I'm talking about these live these streamers are doing anything for the clout anything for the click but it's starting out every anything for clout these days come with consequence yeah before it was like okay you'll get out of that shit they'll figure some shit because this is what hit this is the microwave shit that was in but now yeah these platforms fuck a label these these creative spaces and that have a lot of funding behind it they want actual true art again bro like they want shit that actually has some substance behind it because this shit that goes on now it's fizzling on out and we've been saying this shit from since since 2018 2019 okay yeah you got this shit but like it's only gonna last for so long only for so long that's what I'm saying this AI music shit is that shit's only gonna last for so long. Yeah it's gonna last for so long and at least the world's always gonna always gonna rise to the top at the end of the day. So the organic true feet whoever's really touching human flesh on grass yeah because even some of these streamers bro they be they be popping net but like if you walk by you probably wouldn't even know who they are so you wouldn't know who they are bro like if I didn't see the clips of Chuck I wouldn't know little boys he's a regular bull with a camera bro like it's not like you have some of these guys don't have fat ass cameras walking around yeah and he's walking around the camera by himself like he didn't yeah like he like people just stupid bro like hey bro God bless you bro but you're gonna get 100 years and 100 nights said 100 days 100 nights 100 years longer longer than 100 nights but if it's 100 years but yeah yeah um and then the last thing I want to the last thing I want to talk to you about I mean you're a big UFC guy Connor McGregor is officially set to return to the UFC to UFC 329 on July 11th 2026 2026 in uh Las Vegas against Max Holloway Max blessed Holloway we were we were we were we were wondering if if McGregor was going to come back we thought it was going to be um you said it yeah I I did think he was going to come back but I thought he was going to be at the White House no no I said I said I thought he was going to come back but I I don't think I said it was going to be at the White House. No I said I said I did I thought they were going to bring McGregor out for the White House I'm saying I I was I was the one that said yo if he did come back no you said John Jones no then we went to McGregor and you said you didn't know and then we got remember we got to the argument who's the bigger pool about McGregor versus versus Connor I know we got to that we got to that debate yeah but I'm saying we were saying like when if Connor would return when wouldn't when when would he come back? Oh yeah I did and I and I said I I thought I thought at first it was going to be um we thought they were going to have John Jones and Connor on on the um on the on the bill for um the White House event right um because this is not the White House this is the Vegas one right um but we were saying because we thought like oh no remember we were talking about how many how many dollars it would take for them to come out like just missed that fight card yeah because the the UC what uh at the White House what two feet is in June no is it I don't like I thought it was on the Independence Day or something like that. Let's see you'll see whitehouse White House let's see let's see what it is the Whiteheart it's June is June 14th yeah you're right yeah so I mean yeah he just missed it that's that's a that's a good follow-up to to the White House joint right no it definitely is definitely a good build up to Connor's return what do you think do you think Connor beats uh Max shit I mean Max I don't think Max ever fought in 170 You know what I mean that's what the bow to 170? Yeah so I mean I don't know we haven't seen because we because remember we we watch that's we we were watching those we were looking at the clips that were being posted Connor started training and everybody's like yo is this motherfucker coming back like does he need to come back though no he's doing it for the love of the sport bro like I mean he's a dog at the end of the day bro sometimes when you you've been in a sport for so long and you had it you realize he didn't really have a storybook ending he broke his shit. Yeah he broke his shit for sure he definitely did so it's just like and it you he probably wasn't in the most full tip top condition. Nah so it's just like he beat Cowboy Cerodi then he came back fought Dustin lost got knocked down by him then fought again and I think he broke his shit so he's just trying to go on the high horse what do you think the ticket was for him for him to come back? Yeah what do you think they paid him gotta be close to like 50 60 yeah that ticket's gonna be it's Connor bro he's the biggest draw it's Connor bro like John Jones is the greatest fighter yes Connor's the biggest draw just because everything comes with the story he can fight and he has that he has that mouth paws like he is like he he knows how to use his words to to yeah he's a true showsman yeah he's the villain he's the all he's the ultimate villain that nigga's a joker bro but yeah man I mean I'm excited for the fight um for sure but that's all I got for this episode you got anything else nah that's it yeah I mean Drake album go spin that all three albums go spin that give us your thoughts drop your comments uh drop your thoughts in the comment section on the YouTube join the compound as well let us know what you think of the project was it a hit was it a miss was it a was it a classic um give us your favorite songs as well too um that's all we got episode two eighty four on the road to three hundred it's your boy Mills got rocking in here with me peace oh my god is that the faces of the future
